B Corp Certification at Maison de Paris Denim

Maison de Paris Denim is B Corp certified. With this certification, we demonstrate that we take responsibility for how we operate as an organization and the impact we make, and that this has been independently verified.

What it means and how we apply it
Maison de Paris Denim is a B Corp certified company. This means that we meet independently verified standards for how we operate as an organization. It is not only about our products, but especially about how we make decisions, collaborate with partners, and take responsibility for our impact.

What is B Corp
B Corp, short for Benefit Corporation, is an international certification awarded by the independent non-profit organization B Lab. The certification is intended for companies that combine profit with a demonstrable, positive impact on people, the environment, and society.

B Corp is not a product label, but evaluates the entire company. It assesses areas such as governance, supply chain responsibility, working conditions, environmental impact, and transparency. Companies are evaluated against strict criteria and must be recertified every three years, ensuring continuous improvement remains central.

B Corp certification shows that a company has been independently assessed, meets high standards, and is structurally committed to improving its performance. It represents a way of doing business in which responsibility, transparency, and long-term impact are an integral part of daily operations.

How this is applied within Maison de Paris Denim
Within Maison de Paris Denim, B Corp certification aligns directly with how we fulfill our role as an organization. We develop products that must perform in practice, while also taking responsibility for how they are made and the impact associated with them.

To better understand and actively manage our environmental impact, life cycle assessments are conducted on a large part of our product range. These analyses provide insight into key impact areas such as CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, and water use throughout the entire product life cycle.

The results are actively used in decision-making. For example, this has led to the transition from BCI cotton to organic cotton, with the aim of reducing environmental impact in the raw materials phase. These insights are structurally applied to improve material choices, optimize processes, and gradually reduce our ecological footprint.

Responsibility is also actively embedded within the supply chain. All suppliers have signed our Code of Conduct and operate in accordance with recognized social and environmental standards. Independent assessments are used to verify working conditions and environmental performance, ensuring transparency and accountability are embedded at every stage of the process.

What B Corp means to us
B Corp certification means that we look beyond financial results and take responsibility for how we operate. It means that we are transparent about our performance, actively measure it, and continuously improve.

It does not mean that everything is perfect, or that every individual product has the same impact. It means that, as an organization, we are structurally committed to improvement, based on independent assessment and clear frameworks.

B Corp confirms that Maison de Paris Denim is building a company where business success and responsible impact go hand in hand.
